Meditative Making Tea Kit
12 Tea Bags, 12 pieces of Watercolor Paper
A tea inspired by the grounding point in SourcePoint therapy. This point is a small golden seed of light that exists just below the feet. It serves to ground us in the network of health rather than our stories. In this context, our stories are the constructs or beliefs that are not in service to our health. The function of the grounding point is balance and this tea was designed with the intention of bringing balance to the mind body system.
THE TEA:
A rose base to support self love. Without compassion for self, we cannot cultivate transformation.
Chamomile to calm the system and release the excess. With release, clarity will come.
Rooibos to root within the natural world. Health exists within the network of all beings.
A touch of ginger to warm the system and evoke life force energy.
THE EXERCISE:
Within this package there are 12 tea bags and 12 watercolor papers. If you enjoy structure, set yourself a reminder to engage in this exercise once a month. If structure is not your thing, this exercise can also be done spontaneously when you find yourself in need of grounding.
Make yourself a cup of tea. Enjoy your tea and take a moment for reflection and grounding. Once the tea is brewed, remove the tea bag from your mug and place it on the watercolor paper so that it stains your paper with a beautiful imprint.
If you wish, write or draw on the paper before, during, or after you paint with your tea bag. This will invite your words and drawings to encounter the element of water - flow, chance, the unknown.
Each time you engage in this exercise, you will be supporting yourself in cultivating balance in that moment. With repetition, a more expansive equilibrium will emerge.
